Teach Rolly your brand voice
Rolly interviews you about your brand and saves your answers to your Knowledge base, so the posts it writes sound like your brand.
Before you start
Steps
Click Rolly at the top of any page.
Click the suggestion Interview me about my brand so you can write in our voice, then press Enter.
Rolly will ask about six or seven questions. It first asks who the account is for: your own account, your business in your voice, or a company account with a few people behind it. Answer in your own words.
Answer each question as it comes, in one line or at length. Rolly asks one question at a time, tells you how far along you are, and lets you skip any question.
After each answer, a line shows Saved to your brand profile and what Rolly saved, such as Voice or Audiences. Click the line to read what was saved.
Near the end, Rolly asks how your brand should sound on each platform and what it must never say. Answer both.
In a saved line you opened, click Edit in Knowledge base. You can also click Knowledge base in the sidebar.
Read what Rolly saved and change anything that's wrong. The button at the top says Saved once your changes are kept.
What Rolly does with your answers
Rolly reads your Knowledge base every time it writes for your brand, so your posts use your words and avoid what you told it to avoid. AI assist in the post composer uses it too. A brand with a thin Knowledge base gets posts that don't sound like anyone in particular.
If you'd rather Rolly read your website first
Paste your website's full address into the chat, starting with https://, and ask Rolly to read it. Rolly tells you what it took from your site and asks if it's right before it saves any of it. If your site doesn't say much, Rolly asks you instead.
If you say no to the interview
When Rolly offers the interview and you turn it down, Rolly writes your posts anyway and doesn't offer again. It keeps a note that you said no under Memory & usage. Delete that note there if you want Rolly to offer the interview again.
If Rolly doesn't save your answers, it's likely one of these reasons
You see a Read-only badge next to Rolly. Your role on the team is Viewer, so Rolly can't save to your brand. It says so in the chat. Ask your workspace's owner or an admin to change your role to Editor.
"Not saved" with "Shorten something and it will save." in your Knowledge base. Your brand profile is longer than Rolly can read, so longer edits don't save. Shorten a long section, such as your stories or products, and your change saves.
Rolly saved something wrong. Open Knowledge base in the sidebar and fix it there. Rolly uses the new wording from your next message.
