Draft your posts with Rolly

Rolly writes your posts in your brand voice and shows them to you first. You edit them, apply the ones you keep, and they save as drafts.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Click Rolly at the top of any page.

  2. Click Deep, which is the effort for writing posts.

  3. Say the posts you want and what they're about, such as "Draft three Instagram posts for next week about our Ethiopia Guji from the Hambela farm, roasted on Tuesday." Then press Enter.

  4. Rolly shows a card that says Rolly prepared 3 changes and Nothing saved yet. Each post is a row with its platforms and the date Rolly picked for it.

  5. Read each post in the card, where it's already open. You'll see its Format, Platform, Schedule, Caption with its hashtags, and First comment, and its Status is Draft.

  6. Change anything you want right in the card, such as a word in the caption or the date under Schedule.

  7. To have Rolly rewrite the caption, type what to change in the box under it, such as "make the first line shorter". Then click Rewrite this caption. You can leave the box empty to get a fresh caption.

  8. Next to Sounds like you?, click the thumbs up if the caption sounds like your brand. Click the thumbs down to say what was off, then click Send. Rolly uses your answer for the posts it writes next.

  9. Untick any post you don't want, or click the X on its row to remove it.

  10. Click Apply 3 of 3, or the number you kept. You'll see "Applied 3 changes", and the card changes to say the changes were applied, with an Undo button.

  11. Go to Posts to find your new drafts. Open one to add a photo or video, or to schedule it.

If your posts have no dates

A post without a date shows a No date badge. When you keep more than one post, the card shows Spread 3 posts one per day, starting with a date picker. Pick the first day and time, then click Apply, and each post gets the next day at that time.

If you want Rolly to schedule your posts

Rolly only saves posts as drafts unless you ask it to schedule them. Ask "Schedule these posts" after you apply them, and Rolly shows a new card with the times for you to apply. Instagram and TikTok posts need a photo or video before they can go out, so Rolly tells you which posts still need one.

If you change your mind after applying

Click Undo on the card to remove the posts Rolly added. Undo stays on the card for 30 days, as long as the chat is still there. The card then says the changes were applied and then undone.

If you don't want any of the posts

Click Discard all. The card says it was discarded and nothing was saved. To try again, ask Rolly for new posts in the same chat.

When Rolly prepares tasks, notes or ideas

The card works the same way for anything else Rolly wants to add or change, such as tasks, notes and ideas. If Rolly wants to delete something, its row starts with a red Delete label, so you can untick it before you apply.

If you can't apply your posts, it's likely one of these reasons

"This preview expired without being applied. Ask again to prepare it fresh." The card was left without being applied or discarded for too long. Ask Rolly for the posts again.

"Applied 2, 1 failed" One post didn't save, often because it changed somewhere else after Rolly prepared it. Ask Rolly to prepare that post again.

The card never appears and you see a Read-only badge next to Rolly. Your role on the team is Viewer, so Rolly can't prepare changes for you. Ask your workspace's owner or an admin to change your role to Editor.

"Could not apply changes" The changes didn't reach SocioRolla. Check your connection and click the apply button again.
