Steps
Open the client's record from Clients.
In the Onboarding hub card, click Start onboarding. Moving a client to Onboarding with Change stage opens the same dialog.
The dialog asks which steps this client should go through. Click Use an onboarding flow to pick one you have, or the built-in Standard retainer. Make your own opens Templates to build one, and brings you back here with it picked when you save it.
Pick the Onboarding flow. One with a signing step adds Agreement to sign, set to that flow's agreement.
Check the Brand the client's accounts will connect to and Who gets the link. The client needs a brand first; if they have none, the dialog asks you to add one.
Under First invoice, the amount comes from the client's deal and the Payment link from the onboarding flow. Add what it is for and, if you like, a due date.
Pick the Welcome packet (or skip that step for this client) and when the link expires: never, or after 30 or 90 days.
Leave Email Ana the link ticked and click Start and send. Your contact gets an email with their onboarding link, and the client moves to Onboarding.
The Onboarding hub card now lists the steps and shows who each one is waiting on.
To send the link yourself, in a message or a chat, click Copy hub link. View as client opens the hub as your client sees it.
Before you start
The client needs a contact with an email address and a brand. If they have no brand yet, the dialog asks you to add one first.
The link
Anyone with the link can open the hub, so send it only to your client. From the menu on the Onboarding hub card you can email the link again, reset it (the old link stops working) or revoke the hub.
Reminders
If your client goes quiet, they get a reminder email after 3 days and a last one 7 days later. Stop reminders on the hub card turns them off for that client.
