Send a client a link to connect their social accounts to a brand without sharing a password, then approve each one.

The video has no sound. A caption on screen describes each step.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Open the brand's Settings and go to Social accounts. Connect via client link sits under the accounts already connected.

  2. Click Create link.

  3. Give the link a Label so you can tell it apart later, then choose when it Expires in and how many accounts it can connect under Limit. A link lasts 7 days unless you pick another length.

  4. Click Create link, then Copy, and send the link to your client however you like. SocioRolla doesn't email it for you.

  5. Your client opens the link without signing in. They see the platforms the brand doesn't have yet, any account that needs signing in again marked Reconnect, and a note that they sign in on each platform's own page. For YouTube, they sign in with the Google account that owns the channel.

  6. They click Connect on a platform, read what it will be allowed to do and click Authorize, then sign in on that platform's own page. Facebook, and Instagram connected through Facebook, then ask which Page or account to connect.

  7. Each account your client connects waits under Awaiting your approval, and the brand's admins get a notification. It can't post until you approve it.

  8. Click Approve to let the brand post to it. Reject disconnects it, and your client can connect it again from the link.

  9. To send the same link again, click Share on its row. It's the link your client already has, so their copy keeps working.

  10. Click the clock to give the link more time. The new length counts from today, and the link itself doesn't change.

  11. When the client is done, click the bin and Revoke link. Accounts already connected through it stay connected.

Which platforms the link offers

Every platform the brand hasn't connected yet. Once the brand has a platform, including one waiting for your approval, it drops off the link. A platform whose account needs reconnecting stays on it with a Reconnect button, so your client can sign in again from the same link.

How long a link lasts

From 1 to 30 days, 7 unless you choose otherwise, and up to 10 accounts. You can give a link more time later, but not change how many accounts it takes.

When a link stops working

Your client sees a message when the link has expired, was revoked or is full, or when the workspace has moved to the Free plan.

Approving accounts

Only the brand's admins can approve or reject. An account waiting for approval can't publish, and its analytics and inbox start once you approve it. Rejecting disconnects it and frees its place on the link.

Links you didn't make here

Links made by a client intake (labelled Intake and the client's name) or by an onboarding hub are in the same list.
