Before you start
Steps
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar to open your menu.
Click Brand settings. It opens the settings of the brand you are in, so check the name at the top of the sidebar first.
Open the Accounts tab. Connected lists this brand's accounts, and Available lists the platforms you can still add.
Under Available, click Connect on the platform. A brand holds one account per platform, so a platform that is already connected drops off this list.
Instagram and LinkedIn ask how to connect first. For Instagram, Connect with Instagram signs in with the Instagram professional account itself, and Connect via Facebook goes through the Facebook Page the account is linked to. LinkedIn connects your Personal profile for now, with Company Pages marked Soon.
Tip: Connect Instagram via Facebook if you want to add music to reels. The Reel music option on the Media step only appears for accounts connected that way.
Check the permissions and click Authorize. Instagram's own sign-in opens in a pop-up window, or in the same tab if your browser blocks pop-ups.
On the platform's side
After Authorize, the platform's own screens take over. They differ by platform.
- Instagram, connected with Instagram: sign in to the Instagram account and allow the permissions it lists. It has to be a professional (Business or Creator) account, which you can switch to in the Instagram app settings.
- Instagram, connected via Facebook: sign in to Facebook, allow access, then pick the Facebook Page your Instagram account is linked to.
- Facebook: sign in, allow access, and choose the Page to post to on the screen that follows. The Facebook profile you sign in with has to manage at least one Page.
- TikTok: sign in to TikTok and authorize the app.
- LinkedIn: sign in and allow access. This connects your personal profile, since Company Pages are not available yet.
- Threads: sign in with the Instagram account your Threads profile belongs to, then allow access.
- YouTube: sign in with the Google account that owns the channel and allow all the permissions on Google's screen. This connects that account's own channel.
X shows Soon on its card while it is not open to your workspace.
After you connect
You come back to Accounts, a message confirms the platform is connected, and the account moves under Connected. The next post you create lists it.
Connecting a client's accounts
If the client owns the accounts, click Create link under Connect via client link and send them the link. They connect their own accounts from it without sharing a password with you.
If something goes wrong
- "No Instagram Business account found": the Instagram account is personal or is not linked to a Facebook Page. Switch it to a Business or Creator account, link it to a Page, then connect again.
- "No Facebook Pages found": the Facebook profile you signed in with does not manage a Page. Sign in with the profile that does.
- "This Google account has no YouTube channel": the Google account you signed in with has no channel. Create one on YouTube, or sign in with the account that owns it.
- "Allow all the permissions on Google's screen to connect YouTube": not every permission was allowed on Google's screen. Click Connect again and allow them all.
- Already connected to another brand in this workspace: each account belongs to one brand. Disconnect it in the other brand first.
- Already connected to another workspace: another workspace holds the account, and it has to be disconnected there.
- "The sign-in was cancelled before it finished": the platform window closed before the last screen. Click Connect again and go through every screen.
- Social profile limit reached: the Free plan allows three profiles. Upgrade, or disconnect one you no longer post to.
- Reconnect needed: the platform stopped accepting the connection, usually after a password change or a removed permission. Click Re-authorize on the account card and sign in again, because posts scheduled to that account fail until you do.
