Publish at a different time on each platform

Send one post to several platforms and give each its own day and time.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Click New post and tick every platform the post should go to, then click Continue. Separate times need at least two platforms.

  2. Add the media and write the caption as you would for any post, then continue through Settings and Preview.

  3. Open the Schedule tab and pick a day and a time. Times are on the brand's clock.

  4. Turn on Different time for each platform. Each platform gets its own row, starting at the time you picked.

  5. On a platform's row, click the day to pick another one, and type the time it should go out. Here Facebook moves to the next day at 5 PM, while Instagram stays at 9 AM.

  6. Click the Schedule for button. It shows the earliest platform's date, and each platform publishes at its own time.

  7. The Calendar shows the post once for each platform, on that platform's day. Click either one to open the post: Publishing to lists each platform with its own publish time. To move one platform, drag its chip to another day, and the other platforms stay where they are.

How the times work

  • Times are per platform, not per account. Every account on a platform goes out at that platform's time.
  • The post's date in Posts is the first platform's.
  • Turning the switch off gives every platform the earliest time.
  • If every platform ends up at the same time, the post goes back to a single time.
  • Times are on the brand's clock. If your own time zone is different, the composer says so.

Best times

Once a platform has enough posts, its row suggests up to three times from the last 90 days. Click one to use it.

Moving one platform later

On the calendar, each platform has its own chip, and dragging one moves only that platform.

On the Free plan

You can schedule up to the end of the current month.
