Reply to comments and keep your posts tidy

Answer comments, message a commenter privately, and hide or delete the ones you don't want.

Before you start

Open Inbox and click Comments. The list on the left has one row per post, with the number of open comments on it.
Click a post. Its caption and every comment on it appear on the right, oldest first, with your replies under them.
Click Reply under a comment, write the answer and send it. The reply is posted under that comment on the platform, and the comment moves to Replied.
Click the send arrow, or press Enter. The comment now shows Replied, with your answer under it.
Click Message privately to answer in a DM instead. Instagram and Facebook allow one private message per comment, within 7 days of it. Older comments don't show the button.
Click the send arrow. The comment is marked Messaged privately, and the button is gone because each comment allows one.
Click Delete. A dialog asks you to confirm before the comment is removed from the platform. This is for Instagram and Facebook; on Threads, hide the comment instead.
Under the comments is a box for a new comment on the post itself, handy for pinning an answer everyone will see.
Click Hide under a comment to take it off your post for others. The Hidden view keeps them, and Unhide brings one back.

Reply: Instagram, Facebook, Threads and YouTube.
Message privately: Instagram and Facebook. One per comment, within 7 days of it, and the button disappears once it is used.
Delete someone's comment: Instagram and Facebook. Threads and YouTube don't offer it.
Edit your reply: Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Instagram has no edit, so SocioRolla posts the new text and removes the old reply. Threads replies can't be edited.
Hide: on Meta platforms the comment stays visible to its author and their friends, so it looks untouched to them. The badge says Hidden for others.
YouTube holds some comments for review. Those show under Held for review, where you approve, remove, or remove and ban the author.

Saved replies belong to the brand, so the whole team shares them. Rolly drafts a reply to the comment you are answering and never sends it.
