## Before you start

## Steps

1. Click **New post** and tick every platform the post should go to, then click **Continue**. Separate times need at least two platforms.

![Step 1: Start a post and pick two or more platforms.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/380678cd6380719155c77cd8956c2570569b9388-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

2. Add the media and write the caption as you would for any post, then continue through **Settings** and **Preview**.

![Step 2: Add the media and the caption as usual.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/3fdb81380c3ff6789b403f5fb3985a3dd8e39a59-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

3. Open the **Schedule** tab and pick a day and a time. Times are on the brand's clock.

![Step 3: On the Schedule tab, pick the day and the time.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/6a05754db6d8ca0279057f957ad4878463360f9a-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

4. Turn on **Different time for each platform**. Each platform gets its own row, starting at the time you picked.

![Step 4: Turn on Different time for each platform.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/2fbaa6e36d9f7316b210c943d568b5ca27990b83-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

5. On a platform's row, click the day to pick another one, and type the time it should go out. Here Facebook moves to the next day at 5 PM, while Instagram stays at 9 AM.

![Step 5: Change the day or time on any platform's row.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/3be113dfeb0dd5009d8b27e6bbbf9a988eccccef-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

6. Click the **Schedule for** button. It shows the earliest platform's date, and each platform publishes at its own time.

![Step 6: Click Schedule, and each platform waits for its own time.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/be1f7a76bb59d96bd6f7d260340b1b8b8f6581c5-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

7. The **Calendar** shows the post once for each platform, on that platform's day. Click either one to open the post: **Publishing to** lists each platform with its own publish time. To move one platform, drag its chip to another day, and the other platforms stay where they are.

![Step 7: The calendar shows each platform on its own day.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/66101983f9373d58e733206d62ad120c46bd6766-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

### How the times work

- Times are per platform, not per account. Every account on a platform goes out at that platform's time.
- The post's date in **Posts** is the first platform's.
- Turning the switch off gives every platform the earliest time.
- If every platform ends up at the same time, the post goes back to a single time.
- Times are on the brand's clock. If your own time zone is different, the composer says so.

### Best times

Once a platform has enough posts, its row suggests up to three times from the last 90 days. Click one to use it.

### Moving one platform later

On the calendar, each platform has its own chip, and dragging one moves only that platform.

### On the Free plan

You can schedule up to the end of the current month.
