## Steps

1. Open the brand's **Settings** and go to **Social accounts**. **Connect via client link** sits under the accounts already connected.

![Step 1: Client links live in the brand's Social accounts settings.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/0299939e00f8a7a1a73a144296d7048372ee64b3-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

2. Click **Create link**.

![Step 2: Click Create link to start a new one.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/799a3afc78d3abc963459f70159d0973d502886d-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

3. Give the link a **Label** so you can tell it apart later, then choose when it **Expires in** and how many accounts it can connect under **Limit**. A link lasts 7 days unless you pick another length.

![Step 3: Name the link, then choose how long it works and how many accounts it can add.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/177446cbe0d9749e96a38fce2fbdd8b6521ac0eb-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

4. Click **Create link**, then **Copy**, and send the link to your client however you like. SocioRolla doesn't email it for you.

![Step 4: Create the link, copy it and send it to your client.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/0e6cbe2c35c9463de3290551c9aa4d4b3395cd4a-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

5. Your client opens the link without signing in. They see the platforms the brand doesn't have yet, any account that needs signing in again marked **Reconnect**, and a note that they sign in on each platform's own page. For YouTube, they sign in with the Google account that owns the channel.

![Step 5: Your client opens the link. No account and no password to share.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/1553c1243fd4918e9a240cc9a3e0393df4421742-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

6. They click **Connect** on a platform, read what it will be allowed to do and click **Authorize**, then sign in on that platform's own page. Facebook, and Instagram connected through Facebook, then ask which Page or account to connect.

![Step 6: They click Connect, check what it asks for, then sign in on the platform itself.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/418d83204ebdb9b33b0f3e880f76af2b63bc93fa-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

7. Each account your client connects waits under **Awaiting your approval**, and the brand's admins get a notification. It can't post until you approve it.

![Step 7: What they connect waits for your approval before it can post.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/e0f2c26ea2362b14223cf34f8a4121b56a24856f-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

8. Click **Approve** to let the brand post to it. **Reject** disconnects it, and your client can connect it again from the link.

![Step 8: Approve it, or reject it to disconnect it.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/646089f66739becccd155f7959897780a81a71bd-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

9. To send the same link again, click **Share** on its row. It's the link your client already has, so their copy keeps working.

![Step 9: Share shows the same link again to send it once more.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/c496097d6e5eed506189b6f44459ffad2a1e68aa-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

10. Click the clock to give the link more time. The new length counts from today, and the link itself doesn't change.

![Step 10: Give the link more time from the clock. The link stays the same.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/b3f5df4fc96bb8122ad66e5ed5b15d31e17f1445-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

11. When the client is done, click the bin and **Revoke link**. Accounts already connected through it stay connected.

![Step 11: Revoke the link when you're done, and the accounts it connected stay.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/vy53y317/production/a6583593dd976d288f257e010fdfb3f42ab1fca3-2880x1800.png?w=1600&sharp=25&q=90&auto=format)

### Which platforms the link offers

Every platform the brand hasn't connected yet. Once the brand has a platform, including one waiting for your approval, it drops off the link. A platform whose account needs reconnecting stays on it with a **Reconnect** button, so your client can sign in again from the same link.

### How long a link lasts

From 1 to 30 days, 7 unless you choose otherwise, and up to 10 accounts. You can give a link more time later, but not change how many accounts it takes.

### When a link stops working

Your client sees a message when the link has expired, was revoked or is full, or when the workspace has moved to the Free plan.

### Approving accounts

Only the brand's admins can approve or reject. An account waiting for approval can't publish, and its analytics and inbox start once you approve it. Rejecting disconnects it and frees its place on the link.

### Links you didn't make here

Links made by a client intake (labelled **Intake** and the client's name) or by an onboarding hub are in the same list.
